Music and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
Book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart.
Directed by Henry Avery
“Tragedy tomorrow, comedy tonight!" This great Broadway farce is light, fast-paced, witty, irreverent and one of the funniest musicals ever written! “Funny Thing” takes comedy back to its roots, combining situations from time-tested, 2000 year-old comedies of Roman playwright Plautus with the infectious energy of classic vaudeville. The result is a non-stop laugh-fest in which a crafty slave struggles to win the hand of a beautiful but slow-witted courtesan for his young master in exchange for freedom.
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum was first presented on Broadway, at the Alvin Theater.

By Aldo Velasco and Partick Scott
Directed by Becca Holmes
Pat and Aldo, two documentary filmmakers, travel to Mexico to show how Coca-Cola and American pop culture has overrun the Mexican way of life. Ironically, the two filmmakers use the same tactics to make a film about the plight of the Mexican people as the corporations do to exploit the Mexican people in the first place. Two actors play every part in the play including a conquistador, Poncho Villa, a blonde beach babe, a Mexican housewife, a Coca -Cola executive and many, many more! This fast and funny play was first produced at Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis. This production of True History of Coca Cola in Mexico will be a New Mexico premiere!

A Comedy by Aristophanes
World Premiere Adaptation by Lou Clark
Directed by Hal Simons
In this hilarious Ancient Greek battle of the sexes led by the title character, Lysistrata, the story's female characters barricade the public funds building and withhold sex from their husbands to end the Peloponnesian War and secure peace. The play, originally performed at the Festival of Dionysus in 411BC, has been performed to enthusiastic audiences for centuries all over the world. Lou Clark, recent graduate of UNM’s MFA Dramatic Writing Program and Kennedy Center Award Winning Playwright, offers Albuquerque audiences a new twist on this age-old crowd pleaser.

May 29 – June 21, 2009
By Tom Stoppard.
Directed by Lee Francis and Jason Witter
One of Stoppard's most famous works, R & G is a comedic play which casts two minor characters from Hamlet as its leads but with the same lack of power to affect their world or exterior circumstances as they have in Shakespeare's original. Hamlet's role is similarly reversed in terms of his stage time and lines but it is in his wake that the heroes drift helplessly toward their inevitable demise. Rather than shaping events, they pass the time playing witty word games and pondering their predicament.
Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead was first produced at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival Fringe in 1966.
